We are excited to bring our passion for designing equitable, sustainable, and affordable housing to the Twin Cities.
In Fact, We’ve Been Here for Years
VMWP has been serving Minnesotan neighborhoods since 2007. We have completed several infill urban design studies, responding to the need for mid-size transit-oriented housing options.
Most recently, the design of the Sibley Plaza Neighborhood transforms a suburban shopping center into a transit-oriented mixed-use community, better serving the neighborhood’s needs. The Minnehaha Capacity Study embraces higher-density housing in a location near public transit.
Laura Shagalov, Associate
Committed to bringing VMWP’s expertise and passion for designing sustainable, resilient, communities to her home state, Laura is leading the new Minneapolis office. “It is inspiring to see the potential for us to contribute to positive growth and social equity in the Twin Cities. I look forward to partnering with local leaders and communities to make a positive impact.”
The Benefits of a Mid-Sized Firm
“They have so much energy and passion about what they’re doing. It makes us love what we’re doing.” – Client
VMWP is a tight-knit group, collaborating at every opportunity, driven to find the most innovative design solutions for our projects. Because of our size and office culture, teamwork and communication are paramount. Weekly office design discussions, charettes, and project tours encourage all to contribute, creating a stimulating environment primed for innovation.
