Fannin Station TOD | Houston, TX

Capitalizing on Transit Amenity for Phased Development

DESCRIPTION

The vision for the Fannin Station TOD is one of connecting a series of properties into the redevelopment of a mixed-use, transit oriented district, made up of a variety of neighborhoods centered around pedestrian-oriented places. The existing Main Street light rail line and transit stop that bisects the district is currently not being taken advantage of for pedestrian oriented land uses. The intent for Fannin Station is to capitalize on this excellent transit amenity and public and private investment to create synergistic urban land uses for pedestrian and transit oriented activities. The Fannin Station TOD is intended to be incrementally developed over time into districts of employment, housing, retail, entertainment and open spaces. This concept Master Plan provides a blueprint for how this might happen
