Today we celebrate the ribbon cutting of BRIDGE Housing‘s Islais Place at 4840 Mission Street in San Francisco, California. It is one of the first new 100% affordable housing developments built in San Francisco’s District 11 and one of the first major projects in the Excelsior in nearly 25 years.
Islais Place consists of 137 apartment homes above 4,400 SF of community-serving space and an expanded Excelsior Branch of the Mission Neighborhood Health Clinic (MNHC), which will offer low-cost medical, behavioral health, and dental services to the community.
Apartment homes range in size from one- to three-bedrooms and serve households who earn between 30%-80% Area Median Income (AMI). Approximately 25% of units are reserved for HOPE SF Potrero residents. Property amenities include onsite property management and resident services offices, a community room, laundry facilities, bicycle parking, and a landscaped interior courtyard with play equipment for children. Resident services are provided by Urban Y.
Located in the Outer Mission/Excelsior neighborhood of San Francisco, Islais Place is conveniently located near grocery stores, banks, parks, schools, and public transit options. Islais Place integrates green building strategies using the Green Point Rated Multifamily program.
