With preliminary direction from a licensed architect, manage BIM processes for various projects, including mixed-use housing, affordable housing, and hospitality projects, ranging from low-rise to high-rise buildings; ensure all project stages including design, construction, and delivery adhere to the highest standards of precision and efficiency; develop and maintain BIM Execution Plans (BEP) to define project goals, roles, and responsibilities, facilitating effective communication and collaboration among team members; use Google Site for making wiki pages for setting office standards and document training procedures; utilize Autodesk Revit and AutoCAD to create and manage detailed 3D models, unit plans, interior elevations, egress diagrams, and construction documents; automate workflows including consolidating plan check comments with revision clouds in Revit, by creating Dynamo scripts; use software including Naviate to run and manage auto-publishes and backups of projects from BIM360/ACC; use Revit plug-ins including Kinship to manage users, projects and standard components; perform detailed clash detection within BIM models, coordinating with MEP, structural, and other consultants to ensure that all systems are integrated seamlessly; use Revit plug-ins including CTC Manager to identify BIM model discrepancies and resolve conflicts between various building systems before construction begins, ensuring smooth project execution across multiple disciplines; develop, enforce, and maintain office BIM standards and protocols, including the creation and management of Revit families, to ensure consistency and efficiency across all projects; develop and maintain BIM templates, families, and detail libraries, to standardize and optimize BIM practices across the organization contributing to the improvement of the firm’s design processes; lead initiatives to increase awareness and understanding of Revit and BIM within the team, resulting in improved project delivery efficiency; provide training to project teams on the effective use of BIM tools and methodologies, conducting workshops, “Lunch and Learn” sessions, and one-on-one training sessions to increase team proficiency in Revit and Dynamo; coordinate with external consultants, including MEP engineers, structural engineers, interior designers, and acoustic consultants, to ensure successful project delivery and compliance with building codes; work closely with leadership and third-party software vendors to explore and evaluate new plug-ins and tools that can enhance the firm’s BIM capabilities; contribute to the development and implementation of BEPs, defining project goals, roles, and responsibilities, and enhancing collaboration and communication among team members; lead BIM kick-off meetings, ensuring effective coordination and smooth exchange of BIM models and CAD backgrounds; provide support to project teams by handling intricate or difficult drafting tasks during peak times or when staff members are on vacation, ensuring that project timelines are met and that high standards of quality are maintained; maintain up-to-date documentation, conduct regular reviews, and enforce best practices to ensure consistent quality across all deliverables; collaborate with project team to implement innovative design technology solutions that streamline workflows and improve project outcomes.
