At the end of September, Brett Jacques participated in Housing Colorado‘s affordable housing design charrette for Grand Junction Housing Authority. The charette was a part of the Urban Housing class taught by Jennifer Steffel Johnson at CU Denver College of Architecture and Planning.
Brett participates voluntarily every year and said of this year’s charette:
As always we learned a ton while meeting together for several weeks prior to the Housing Colorado Conference as well as at the convention.
Thank you to the CU Denver College student participants: Ebru Altintas Solako, Harrison Hoefler, Mark Schenberger and Rylee Gollogly.
Thank you to our awesome Stakeholder team from the Grand Junction Housing Authority and City of Grand Junction: Brain Rusche, Scott Aker, Jody Kole, Steve Kollar, Kate Schaneman, Ashley Chambers, Daniella Acosta – we learned much about their work and their wonderful community.
Much appreciation to all the volunteers and mentors in the process: Bilal Daher, Caili Hill, Charlie Deese, David Hissem, Diana Rooney, Eric Dillon, John Green, Mary Anderies, Rezan Prananta, and Sam Valenzuela.
A special thanks to Paul Brady for his great leadership and facilitating skills in Co-leading the charrette with me.
Thank you Andrew Chapin for all of your organization.
Brett and VMWP will see you next year!
